Stitch watching TV

Screwed

Mickey did not come in on train. Bulls@&$! Out at MK till one am at least. Some jive talking lawyer convinced us to go on Splash Mountain then once we get on, "bitch wore a poncho!" very funny. I also heard someone say " I hope you suffocate on it"

Extra magic hours went okay. Getting around is tough. Don't people put there damn kids to bed early anymore?Slept in this morning. Maybe I'll go for a walk. Starting to get hungry. But there is food everywhere so not a problem I guess. Planning with so many people is stressful. You would think it is because everyone wants something different. But when people don't speak up it is stressful.

At some point I have to deal with " Call "Yahoo!". Not going to be fun, let day 2 begin.

Ugh

Disappointed... We may have to abort our mission. New calculations show we need to drive at 80 miles an hour for 10 hours to get there a half hour late. Praying for a delay.

Prepped for launch

OK.  The Shuttle is on the pad ready for launch.  The cargo is delivered and will be locked down shortly.  Fuel cell servicing is being done today.  Final checks and closeouts on stored equipment will be done today.  The astronauts are in quarantine and mentally preparing to go.  One final mission briefing for the Go/ No Go for launch.
This is happening right now and in Yorktown Heights.  So far we are a Go for launch.  We are not anticipating any delays.  If the shuttle delays, we may delay.  The truck is prepped.  Equipment is stowed.  Cargo loading is tonight.  Fuel is full.  Spare Tire arriving today.  T-31 hours 30 minutes.

Lilo with the biggest toy ever!

Look what she found and claimed for herself. A giant moose.

Just a sidenote.

Don't know who knows.  But I think Simon Pegg is awesome.  And Run, Fatboy, Run is a great movie.  I absolutely love it.

9 more days!

So we are getting really close.  The wife is bored because we are ready to leave now.  There is almost nothing left to do. Our overnight courier service is put together(See previous post from my wife).  Clothes are packed.  Just sit back and relax.
I am 0.6 pounds from my weight loss goal for the trip.  All I need is the buffer for what I eat when I am down there. I hope to be able to exercise down there a little.  I don't want to lose my groove.  Keep the habit, even if it is a reduced workout.
Work is crazy.  Very worried that things are getting out of hand.  trying to wrap up things before I go away.  I may pack clothes and stay overnight here.  Give the old home on wheels a test run for overnight sleeping.  IDK.
I am sure everyone is excited to go.  I am just excited to see everyone who will be there relaxed and happy.   Happiness is very contagious for me.  If I am marginally in a good mood,  happy people make it all the more fun.  I will do whatever it takes to make sure people around us are happy too.
I hope we can get to Disney Quest or a water park.  It is fun and different for most people.  I don't want to go alone.  We go alone all the time.  We want to experience these things with other people.  Which is why we bought into DVC and our dream has always been to bring friends and family along.  We are getting our wish this year and I know it will be good.

Our Shuttle To Disney

We are hoping for a little magic that we can see the very last lift off of the space shuttle on July 8th.  Its going to be a tight schedule but this truck is going to make it happen.....

Today we spent time getting the last things ready to make the trip easier.

We installed the bed liner and added the tonneau cover as the finishing touch.  what do you think?

2 weeks till D- Day!

With only 8 days of work till vacation I wonder if I can make it. Ridiculous requests have been coming in lately. Yesterday was a whirlwind day. And after 2 days in a row of 4 hrs of sleep or less, it was tough. Fell asleep before I could exercise last night. Put headphones on and lost consciousness. Trying to do a half hour this morning, but the phone has been ringing already. 2 weekends to get ready. Hoping to get it all done this weekend.
I am excited to eat a little more on vacation, but mostly Excite to relax in what I hope is wide open spaces and luxury. Ready for the drive. There is an element of true freedom with the drive. no boarding passes no checking in no security scan Technically you need not tell anyone where you are going. Go where and when you want. 2 weeks or 14 days or 336 hours or 20,160 minutes.

17 Days??!!

Sorry for the "slacking" off.  Lake George took a toll on me.  And I have tried to blog from my PDA, but it wouldn't work.  Right now we are just waiting on a few more accessories for the truck to be fully prepared to go.  Bug deflector (very important) check. Bedliner almost ready, Tonneau cover on its way.  A good bath and the young girl will be all ready to go.  Money should still be in line. Days off all set.

Dining reservations have been a topic lately I hear.  We seem to have quite a few of them.  I only hope I can lose the last few pounds I want.  It would suck to not since I already downgraded my goal by ten pounds.I don't want to feel like I have stalled completely and failed.

We are hoping that we can get down there really early to catch the last shuttle launch.  At this moment July8th at 11:29AM is the targeted launch time.  Which means we got a long way to go and a short time to get there, if we are only planning on leaving 12 hours earlier.

It would be something to see.  Until next time.

The wall.

Still can't get over the wall. 2weeks and I have only lost about 2 pounds and that was over a week ago. Having trouble getting back a rhythm. But good things...
Our video camera showed up today.
Accessories for my truck should start arriving tomorrow.
My wife picked up a seat for my bike. Previously it had some sort of proctologist device installed that they thought was a seat.

Still sitting on the bike though. Having a difficult time getting started.

Yankee Game and something new.

The Yankee game went terribly. Not as bad as it could have gone, but pretty bad. Oh they won, but the food was good and plentiful. I behaved myself fairly well. But found myself more satisfied then I have been in months. I ate more than I should have. But have some new plans to work it off. I bought a bike. Now I could say that it is a biofuel alternative transportation. And that it gets more miles to the gallon ( of root beer?!) then anything you drive. It has 18 gears and off road tires. But it is an inexpensive bicycle. Trying to test out my exercise biking skills on the open road. I hope my wife and I enjoy it and keep going for fun. I just refuse tonwhere a helmet. I will rarely be riding on streets I intend to use it in the park and around our block a little maybe. So far as I can tell we do not have any helmet laws. NYS says 14 and under, Rockland says everyone, I have found nothing about westchester. I have spent hours. I know it was attempt in 2007 but cannot find any record of the helmets for all being passed. I am going with that. I did my due diligence and couldn't find it. Will keep you posted on bike. Maybe I can bring it to WDW and ride around OKW? IDK. WHaddyathink?

Hitting the wall.

It sucks. No matter how much you try to exercise and lose it never works. For two weeks now I have been trying to overcome this wall to no avail. It will be very difficult to enjoy myself knowing I came so close and failed the last month. I need a little more to round it out and be able to relax on our vacation. Other than that. Yankee game today. Free food. That should help...

Disney Mail

It's the wife this time. :)

I could be having the worst of days, but open that mailbox and see some mail from disney and my face lights up.  We have been getting some  mail about our trip recently which gets me even more excited.

We recently got the magical express papers for the other members of our "traveling party". *Almost makes me sad we aren't flying......almost.

We also received a mailing from Disney's photopass.  They pre-send cards now for your vacations.  Hoping we can get some good group shots of everyone while we are there.  This envelope though........i mean come on who doesn't love an envelope with a monorail on it?

29 days and counting....

Disney vs. "Off Property"

With our budget on this vacation we planned for a day at Universal to do the rides we haven't done in years.  But when we sat down the other night to run through everything again.  It seemed mind-boggling that for the 2 of us alone, we would have to budget a minimum of $350 dollars just to spend 1 day at Universals 2 Parks in Orlando.  So we are weighing the options heavily.  I am disappointed in not seeing Universal, however happy to spend more time relaxing with Mickey.  Plus the actual $500 we have set aside can go along way in Disney. We could pay for us and several others to go to a water park or a Disney Quest for several hours vs that one day in Universal.  I think we have a few days to decide.  Any thoughts?

Sheesh.... It never ends.

Double workout today. Hope it pays off. Unfortunately the wife and I get way too good at planning vacations. Now I am not talking about what to do on which days. That only proves futile. But the prepping we got it down. There is almost nothing to do until we leave.
Transportation.. Check
Money.... Check
Rooms.... Check
And so on.
We live for our little getaways and it even gets through the crappier times leading up to a vacation. But now, we are ready so early. Dunno what to do. Gotta wait for the rest. Hoping to leave a little early and maybe catch the last shuttle launch ever. Should be a blast. Get it BLAST!?!?

Pictures of Animal Cruelty

Dashboard of Truck

The instrument cluster on our new truck.

17 in 30???

In order to reach my vacation goal I need to lose 17 more pounds in 30 days.  Shit that sucks.  My daily average is about .65 a day.  Which puts me at 19.5 by D Day.  (Departure Day)  2 Major problems.  Yankee Game and Lake George.  Both huge tests on will power.  Free food at the first and nothing but hamburgers, french fries, root beer and ice cream at the second.  Walt Help Me. (That was an athiests interpretation of God Help Me.)

One month to go!

Tonight we went over th vacation budget again to make sure there were no hidden expenses. So far so good. $125 dollars a day for food sounds good to me! More to come!
